Alison Platt biography
Alison is an experienced leader at both executive level and in the board room in leading change and obsessing about delivering for customers. Alison is a great storyteller and shares personal leanings and insights on how to drive such change through an organisation and how to stay resilient during challenging times.
Prior to her time at Countrywide, Alison spent over twenty years in healthcare and financial services with Bupa responsible for range of businesses in the UK including insurance, clinics and hospitals. In her last five years at Bupa she led the development of Bupa’s emerging markets businesses – including major acquisitions in Poland and Hong Kong and the signifiant growth of Bupa’s JVs in Saudi Arabia and India.
Alison is a member of the steering group of the Hampton Alexander ReviewA and was previously the Chair of 'Opportunity Now’ which seeks to accelerate change for women in the workplace and was a non executive director for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office between 2005 one 2010. In 2011 she was awarded the CMG (Companion to St Michael and St George) in the Queens Birthday Honours list for services to the foreign office.
Alison is a non executive director of Tesco plc. and was a non executive director of Cable & Wireless Communications plc until 2015.
